They are in a museum there. The only other ones are at the National Railway Museum and Didcot Railway Centre in England. In the latter, an operational replica loco with that same gauge was built and AFAIK, that's the only working example of a Brunel gauge (7 feet, 0.25 inches) loco on Earth.

In my region I'm aware they found the remains of a CPR 2-8-0 steam locomotive and some boxcars that slowly rolled off a railbarge on Slocan Lake in 1946. (incorrectly id'd as "Kaslo Lake"). Down pretty deep, 600' irc.

Not a loco, but there used to be an old, overgrown, caboose on a small section of track along side the road where I near where I used to love. I don't know how it got there, as there were never any railroads in the are.

It is said that an experimental high speed train built by Japanese Manchu Rail before WWII which is known to survived past WWII and remain in China afterwards, but records of the train disappeared from the record in 1960s and currently no one know where have it gone to. There're apparently speculation that it have been buried into some cave.

There are some Terriers in South America. Two were shipped there to work on a tramway and no one knows what happened to them. I'm guessing they're in some kind of yard or in the woods somewhere.

The three-foot gauge locomotive in train are no longer at that park in Baghdad and no one knows if they were scrapped or if they are stored away forgotten in a big Raiders of the Lost Ark-style warehouse somewhere. The three-foot gauge railway is still present in Baghdad, however, and an ugly beat-up diesel-looking loco is pulling trains on it now.

There is an operational one on a tourist railroad in the park. It's named "Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad".

I heard about the NYC Atlantic Avenue loco. The whole thing started when a guy used radar or related tech on a very old sealed tunnel and discovered what he BELIEVES is a loco. It could just as easily be a discarded ore car or a pile of discard metal. There is no proof that there is actually a loco in that sealed tunnel.

It was a railroad tunnel that closed up and even before they scanned it, they knew it was there. Some dude ran tours of the tunnel because he discovered it. There's video of the inside on YouTube.

I believe he's referring to an WSLC Shay that was left up in the woods back in the 60s because it would cost too much to recover.

I've heard about it too, no idea where it is though, since the old WSLC line ran all the way from Tuolumne to Cherry Lake with a bazillion branching tracks going to lumber camps.
