Do people actually like Yowamushi Pedal?
I only watched until episode 20 and then stopped because that show is so terrible.
Onoda keeps getting deus ex machinas to help him win. For example, during the training camp (when they have to ride 1000km), he is way behind everyone else, and even his bicycle breaks. But then one of the second year students comes out of nowhere and gives him new parts and repairs his bike! Then Onoda somehow manages to complete the distance just 10 minutes before the time limit!
I also detest the "onoda is having fun, therefore he wins" bullshit, because i strongly believe that most people in the show enjoy cycling, so everyone should be winning all the time. Jesus Christ, i hate every single time Onoda has his head down, and then that retarded music starts playing (see the youtube link below) as he lifts his head up and reveals his retarded smile, it disgusts me.
At first i liked the tall guy Imaizumi, but then the red haired guy Naruko showed up, and basically Imaizumi and Naruko fused into one character. I mean, at first we saw Imaizumi as an individual who had his own ambitions. But now every time there is any kind of competition, he has EXACTLY the same skill as Naruko, because God forbid the anime writers actually favor one character over the other.
