>>1057009>Right libertarians are retardedhow can you call yourself a libertarian and NOT defend property rights? I don't think you understand what libertarianism is if you don't.
let me guess, you're probably one of those people who thinks it's about gay marriage, DUDE WEED and muh guns. it is so much bigger than that.
life, liberty and property are the key tenants of the movement.
if you don't defend property rights you cannot call yourself a libertarian. this isn't debatable. not defending private property rights puts you in line with authoritarians. money-leeching, land-grabbing, authoritarians. that's a far cry from libertarianism.
libertarianism is about small government. the thinking is that small government promotes the maximum amount of liberty. as long as you don't infringe on anyone else's rights, the government doesn't get involved. it's not about the exact social things you approve of, it's about that you can do whatever you want as long as you don't infringe on someone's rights. you can fuck your sister, shoot heroin, refuse to serve a nazi a wedding cake, start your own white power club, not allow gays to shop at your store etc, as long as you don't use force against anyone. the market place of ideas and money will sort this stuff out. you have the right to do whatever you want with your life and property if you don't exert force on anyone else, no matter how stupid or immoral someone else thinks it is. the government only uses force to protect those who are being unjustly targeted from their fellow citizens, or in other words, infringe on their rights to use their own life liberty and property as they see fit. goes with economics too. socialism and regulated markers are immoral because they exert force, and what's more, actually serve to strangle the economy, making the rich richer and innovation to cease. history proves this time and time again.
