>>1060810Preparing/riding:
- Pannier/ rack bag/ handlebar bag to keep weight off back
- Lower gears and speed , simply keep it low enough effort to match walking
- If it is cold in the wind but warm elsewhere, dress for the warm sections and use wind blocking clothes instead of ending up hotter.
- Wear removable layers, such as wear a jersey on bottom, then have a jersey that you can zip all the way down as the temperature changes.
Luggage/Arrival: (Assuming no work shower)
- Spare clothes
- Small towel
- Baby wipes
- Deodorant
Bonus tip:
- Unzip outer layer as you slow down on arrival and take off top layer when you stop as you will still be hot but without riding into the air like wind. If possible, let yourself cool downed stop sweating before you get changed you don't sweat in your fresh clothes.
