It seems like it's mostly bikes in here, but I was wondering if there are any fellow pilots in our midst on this board. I fly mainly Cessna 172's, have about 180 hours, working on my instrument. What do you fly?

I'm at just about 210 hours I think. Trying to get my commercial multi, but the damn checkride keeps getting canceled. Instrument was the most fun course in my opinion, I love the procedural nature of it and the fact that it makes flying into busy airports much easier.

Yes, but I only fly old cessnas and I work in operations at a GA airfield.
Which means I spend most of my time refueling old cessnas.

I used to fly tours in the Outer Banks (NC). Fond memories. Lately, UAVs. Traded fond memories for good $ and camera views of Afghans boingking donkeys. Bonus: could finally afford to buy my own plane.

Totally answered the wrong question. I flew on the helicopter from Grand Canyon Western Ranch. Probably the cheapest tour ($200 for 25 minutes in a Jetranger). Cool female pilot.

I see under the right conditions that you can buy an ancient cessna for under 10k. How many people fly these relics? Safe? I want a plane of my own but I'm good on being 400k in debt( not that ANY bank would len me that kind of scratch, anyway)
