Ffestiniog and the WHR also have some killer motive power, between Ffestiniog's double Fairlies and the WHR's Garratts. Talyllyn's locomotives are the prettiest, though.
You could do a giant loop that way, if you wanted to. England is so tiny, anyways, that you're actually pretty close there to the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire, as well, if standard gauge steam is your thing. Llangollen has better scenery, though, even if they don't have as large and varied of a steam fleet as Severn do.
