This is an excuse that might work, but this is why you cycle in when it's not -28 outside. Even when it is you can still dress for it, and get the right bike, and you will be just fine. All the winter gear you need for a bike is less than one season of petrol+car maintenance

I will commute anywhere (extreme heat, cold, rain, winds) on a bike (school, work, events, meets) as long as it is 60 miles round trip

If its more than 60 miles I'll take a train but no buses (cause fuck cagers). Cycling is lyfe.

Yeah I don't get it either. Worked with a guy that lived one bus stop away from work, he still drove a car.

And he complained everyday how shitty the gubment is because he has to spend so much money on car insurance/fuel is kek.

I used to go to work by bike because back then I lived in nice weather and it was much quicker than a car while not being particularly dangerous.

But where I live now it's heat, humidity and dangerous roads with much less red lights so the car simply wins in this scenario.
