When you ride a skateboard or a stand-up scooter, you feel a lot vibrations from the ground texture which makes those vehicles less efficient, practical, and comfortable for long distance travel or use on roads.

Not so with a bike, and the main difference is the larger wheel size causes the surface of the wheel to contact ground irregularities at a shallower angle, meaning there is less impact with each tiny bump, less wasted energy, less vibration.

Wouldn't it then make sense to increase the wheel size on bikes even more? At a certain point, there would be diminishing returns due to the extra weight and it would eventually be less efficient.

So are we at the ideal point for wheel diameter now? Or would it make sense to at least bump it up by like 50 percent and see what that gets us?
