I mean yeah it's gonna be a bit more expensive than chains since producing chains and cogs is really fucking cheap, it's actually amazing how simple it is when you think about it, chain is just pieces of sheet metal, pins, and rollers, really simple components mass produced with extreme ease. And cogs are just simple flat metal with some really quite simple cuts done to it.
