in Saigon they are building a brand new Japanese designed subway system
should be very nice from what I've seen but like all infrastructure projects here it is delayed again and again.
still I have high hopes for it, will make getting around MUCH easier.

Here in Finland, the Helsinki Metro western expansion to Espoo opened yesterday.

Eight shiny new stations from Lauttasaari island to Aalto-university and other suburbs and regional centres in Espoo.

14 kilometres of track/direction, all in deep bedrock.

The new stock for Crossrail is great, but my gears are still immensely ground that they called it "The Elizabeth Line". Its not part of the tube goddamit, it has its own roundel and everything. Shouldv'e called it Crossrail 1

Our "crossrail" opened recently, after being delayed by 20-25 years. our RER is a mixed blessing, it allows for fast transit on the region but also drains in all of the filth previously stuck in the suburbs, creating hellscapes on central stations. (les Halles is a fine exemple.)

You should consider that the chinese have different aesthetic standards than us. What we find appealing is actually slightly different to what they find appealing.
It's probably related to slight differences in image recognition software in the brain due to having different facial structure.

The Sydney Metro is currently under construction, and phase 1 is due to be completed in 2019. They've recently started phase 2, which involves converting an existing underground railway to metro standards, and constructing a new line that runs beneath the harbour. They're already tearing down skyscrapers just to build the stations.

Helsinki (and Finland over all) uses the broad Russian gauge which is 1524mm, meaning we tend to do have wider trains. Also the 3,2m width is the stantard for trains here.
