Isolated railway systems

ITT we talk about isolated rail lines and systems. Can be any kind of railway that's not connected to the mainline, and isn't standard urban rail either (subway, LRT/tram).
Also tell the story of how said line or system came to be and/or why it's isolated from the mainline railways.

I'll start. We have two such systems in Barcelona. One uses standard gauge and runs a few km into the suburbs which are land inwards, behind the hills that limit the city. It was built in the 1910's-20's as an electric suburban railway, and hasn't changed much since. It runs on standard gauge whereas mainlines use iberian gauge.

The other system is more extensive and reaches somewhat further land inwards. It runs on meter gauge and is an amalgamation of several former railway lines. The uppermost sections were closed in the early 70's, but the rest is still operational and has been electrified. There's also some freight trains carrying either potassium or automobiles.

The western US is home to several isolated lines used by power companies to transport coal from mines to power plants. One such railroad is the Black Mesa and Lake Powell Railroad in the Navajo Nation in Arizona. The line was opened in 1973 with the intention of hauling coal from the Peabody Energy Kayenta Mine to the Navajo Generating Station 78 miles away. GE E60 locomotives are used, making this a truly unique railroad in America because it has electric locomotives hauling freight. Some of the locomotives were built for the railroad but the others were purchased from Mexican railways in the 1990s. There are 3 round trips made on the line every day.

Irle Walzen is a company producing rollers for metal processing industries, located in the german town of Deuz. Their factory is split into two parts, located on each side of the town's former railway station on a branch line from Siegen-Weidenau to Irmgarteichen-Werthenbach.
When from the 1990s on the privatised DB stopped serving unprofitable small sidings all over the country, industries along the line started moving to road shipping, causing the line to be closed in 2004.
The roller factory also ships their supplies and final products by truck, but transportation between the two factory parts is done by a single locomotive with a few cars that are locked in on a few hundred meters of isolated track.

The Holbrook Miniature Railway is a 7.25 in gauge railway in Ten Mile Park Gardens, Holbrook, New South Wales, Australia. It operates on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month.

The railway has a miniature NR class locomotive in The Ghan livery, a 'Spirit of Holbrook' (after the Spirit of Progress), and what looks like a shunter diesel I can't identify.

t-those r-ran on the electric train b-between Mexico City and Queretaro
only ran for very few years between the early 90's and rail privatization in 1998 which killed all passenger trains.
they were literally the pinnacle of mexican passenger trains.

Would you happen to have any pics of the E60s in NdeM service? The only ones I can find of them are ones from the isolated coal railroads in the west. Pic related is from the Deseret Power Railway in Colorado/Utah, located 90 miles from the national rail line.
