I love driving. Idk whats the fasest you can accelerate on a bike without flying downhill, but getting to 60 MPH under 7 seconds on a regular basis makes me a happy man. Its healthy to do an Italian tune up every once in awhile.

Idk whats the fasest you can accelerate on a bike without flying downhill, but getting to 60 MPH under 7 seconds on a regular basis makes me a happy man.
First all, get good, scrub. Second of all, you feel the speed a lot more and at a lower speed when you're out and exposed on a bike. 40mph in a car actually feels pretty slow to me. If I was doing 40mph on a bike, it'd feel MUCH faster. I've clenched my anus at lower speeds.

Also, this is important, unless cagers see another cage, they'll drive smack in the middle of the road. I cant tell you how many times I've nearly been sideswiped by some asshole turning car like a fucking boat. Happens all the time in the city when I'm in the bike lane and someones turning onto the street I'm on.

Clearly the solution is to make bikes dangerous to cages. I recommend shaped charges. If cagers know that bikes are all carrying shaped charges on them, they'll fucking look for them.

I was walking to the LCS today when I saw one cager get out of his car and run up to the drivers side window of another cage and try to fight its driver. This is because the guy still in his car almost hit the angry cager's car pulling out of a parking lot. Lot's of buzzwords like "whats up!" and "you don't know me bro" being thrown around. So mad and willing to duke it out despite there being no damages.

Let me tell you all about my pet peeves about the cagers around here. Local law says that bicycles generally yield to cars when riding on a MUP and going over a crosswalk. Cars yield to cyclists if they have a yield sign or have turned from a road that travels parallel to the MUP and the crossing is at the intersection.

My commute has plenty of crossing of both types. And literally 95% of cagers get it wrong on both types. They slow down to let me go when they shouldn't and try to run me over when they should yield. Then stopping to let bikes go makes riding annoying because you can't just assumenthat everyone is going to stop for you because 1 in 100 cages actually knows the rules. This means that instead of just slightly slowing and letting the cage go you have to stop if you happen to get to crosswalk at the same time as a cage. And the places where the cages are supposed to yield they don't pay any attention to anything that isn't a cage so you have to yield again.
