whats your stand on anti-inflammatories/painkillers messing up trainning?
once someone told me that anti-inflammatories where counterproductive after trainning, that they interfered with muscle regeneration/overcompensation. since then, i try to avoid them if i can. but i dont have a solid base for doing that. what do you guys know about this?
i mainly ask cause i did a hard breakthrough ride on friday, but at the same time im having some problems with a shoulder. last night i took 400mg of ibuprofen, and now waking up on sunday for training, i feel legs like new.. but also kinda "not pumped", or "smaller"(?) , i know it may only be psichological, or maybe they just got enough rest.. but i could bet the anti-inflamatory did something there.. hope the hard work didnt go down the toilet. it was 180km with a lot of z3 and z4 (going up to z6 a bunch of times).
feel freee to talk about any pills or things not to do or do that can help mess up training. thanks!
