Reminder that if you ride a fixed-gear bike without at least a front brake on public roads, you are a criminal as well as a fool and deserve what happens to you (arrested and/or seriously injured or killed in a collision with a motor vehicle). Brakeless FG is for legit track riding only. Even track riders who train on public roads have a front brake, and anywhere you go the law requires at least a front brake.

They are some kind of no name "xl-95" brake levers. Shit ergonomics with shittier build quality and loose tolerances but they work well enough for me to not replace them yet. The good news I can't find them listed anywhere so you're probably not going to run into them.

OP here, clean is slang for something that is assembled well and or crafted well. Example being "the welds on that frame are so clean", "that colnago frame is clean", and "the combination of your campagnolo parts with that frame is a clean combination"

Road to fixed convert here. I've been riding brakeless from the beginning, one season, no serious accidents so far. I believe that having a front brake makes riding downhill in urban area much easier though

Both brakes are required by law unless you have a coaster brake. Although I still prefer both brakes because I want to have a backup if one fails.

It's required by law in places outside of the states as well. I ride brakeless on this side of the pond myself, and at this point no one cares anymore, but at the peak of the fixeeh boom the police was stopping and ticketing riders without brakes.

Both times I've been hit by a car were while riding with disc brakes in predictable, legal manner. Never had an incident while riding brakeless and doing fuckboi delivery shit. If a car is gonna fuck you, it's gonna fuck you.
