It seems pretty cheap but it is Chinese so I'm concerned with the quality.

Ive bought valve caps, faux fox gloves, multi-tool, pedals and a "carbon fiber" seatpost on Wish. The pedals are top notch, same quality as the $60 race face ones. Seat post is like, that glossy fiberglass that fishing poles and tent poles are made out of. The gloves were garbage. Will order more pedals for future bikes.

You get what you pay for with cycling kit.
Voler sells to pro teams, and we use the stuff, and I have zero complaints about quality or comfort. Their generic stuff is exactly the same as the custom stuff, and is reasonably priced. Just remember that if you're an avid rider, you'll probably wear out a set of bib shorts in a year. Not that they're so expensive that you can't replace them once a year.

Never bought off wish but seeing as it's all China stuff its the same stuff selling on eBay which I've bought plenty of. I've gotten gel shorts and bibs along with foam padded and they've been great for me. They've all held up and been going strong. Gone to lbs and felt the brand name stuff and I can't tell the difference in padding and comfort. Just the price tag. Make sure you get your measurements right tho.

Bikes are retardedly expensive and you do not get what you pay for by any stretch of your autistic imagination.

You can get a CBR250 or CRF250 For the price of what a lot of bikes go for these days. and the motorbike will last longer and require far less maintenance. While going ~70 miles on $2.80 of fuel. While your pedal droven 19th century marvel takes 7 hours to go 70 miles

I've not bought any actual hardware from china. Not that brave. Unless you count the flat pedals that I used to have on my bike. Used to since one broke off.
Replaced them with some shimano saint flat pedals. Pretty pricey I think, but they should last years and not months. False economy to have pedals that cost half as much but fly off every few months into the road. Especially since you tend to lose control of your bike when this happens. Not fun.

Yep, you get what you pay for. This stuff isn't mass-produced by some robots in a massive factory, it's all low-volume stuff, therefore it tends to be more expensive. Also do you really want the lack of quality and consistency you have to put up with from cheap shit made in some nameless factory out in the middle of some rice paddy in some southeast asian country by workers paid $0.02 an hour? No thanks. I'd rather pay more and get quality materials and consistent quality of manufacture, especially something that could land me in the emergency room (or the morgue) if it falls apart on me suddenly (like a wheelset). Why would you gamble with your life on imporant things just to be cheap? Makes no sense. Be happy you live in a world and a time where you can at least get high quality goods.

There are some things you can cheap out on and save a few bucks, but you should never do so on the important things.

What most of you guys should do? Is shop around more. Bigger retailers like Performance Bike, Nashbar (which is owned by Performance Bike), and similar big retailers, deep discount things all the time, to get you to buy from them (gambling you'll buy other things from them too). Also random bike shops all over the Internets often dump last year's stuff for huge discounts just because it's a tax liability.
