This thread is for taxis. They don't ger nearly enough praise here. If you not want to own a car and still be able to have its advantages, like getting from point A to point B, here you go. Nyc has been famed for it's yellow cabs for decades.
People have been talking about individualised public transportation. Well, it has existed for a long time. Yet instead of encouraging people to use them, many cities treat them as a liability instead of the solution it is.
Ideally, I'd love to use the metro for my daily/routine routes and taxis for elsewhere. Thoughts? Are taxis and its variations (Uber, lyft) viable?
