Personal preference, either is better than starting a thread over old shit you need to replace on your bike, especially something at easy as bar tape.

Ive tried it all: cork, foam, rubber, leather etc. Tape is the best.

My favorite is Soma serrated tape. But any of the "cork" foamy bar tape is good as long as it's not bottom barrel shit for $10.

Deda had been good to me. I did not like the slick feel of fizik, but how you ride / if you wear gloves matters a lot

Couldn't tell you but the best hast to be some sort of synthetic. Everything else has some flaw to it while synthetics combine the best of whats out there (weight, traction, comfort, durability etc).
