Jesus fuck a lot of you anons out here are posting a lot about HVAC in a transportation board, what the fuck is up with that?
>>1140763This is the most true statement on the thread. "Bikes are simple HEUEHEH turn a few screws good to go " yeah until you have someone flying down hil 30+ mph on a two lane road. Where an
incorrect headset adjustment or incomplete brake assembly could mean DEATH and your ass getting sued. It fucking happens.
I am currently working at my LBS and have been since last season. Fairly high end bike come through ( Di2 / eTap )
My shop is one of eight doing pretty well for itself across the board.
>>1140809>bike college>my sidesMy shop is paying for half of my tuition and I figure its just a great reason to go ride some trails in Colorado and get some good knowledge.
After I finish the course I am getting a raise and potentially involved in our ever growing van business. Aka Bring the bike shop to customers also showing up at races or events where people might need their bikes worked on (COMISSION $$$)
I could have easily done the HVAC thing or any other soul sucking job but I just like working on bikes and more importantly the people in my area that ride. I have become fairly accustomed to being broke so fuck it.
My reasoning for taking the course is that it will take a lot of the shitty guess work out of my job and standardize my knowledge of how every procedure should be done and WHY it's done that way. making me more efficent and therefore increasing how much money I make.
also I cant believe that my first reply was the only genuine one on this post, so thanks
