It slowly died down over time. The current /brt/ used to be part of the Strava general back in the day.

As the guys left so have the quality memes and fun.

However, I believe not all is lost. /n/ has more traffic now, I remember when the aviation thread would last an entire year.

If we can get the Strava thread to stick around, It'll all come back to life.

life happens, I went from 2500 miles a year to 500 of actual rides and maybe 100 of up to the store or gym rides. It just happens as you get older things other than fun take over. Miss a ride to catch back up at work, GF has her work function to go to instead of riding, rather go see your mom in the hospital instead of going for a ride, get your more or less homeless brother to his NA meeting instead of riding.. other things are more important than being able to go for a ride, so you say to yourself that you will go for a ride next week.... then time goes on and when you do finally get that chance to ride you arent in shape enough to do as well as you want to.

Im not trying to make excuses, I am giving a reason as to why people drop off the strava group. I miss being able to ride often.. literally worked 60 hour weeks most of the summer, that just doesnt leave time to get out and enjoy life, kinda destroys the personal life too.. you just watch it will happen to you one day.

You should have seen /pol/ when this dropped. They're scouring the Strava Heatmap for evidence of da joos and freaking out at any high traffic area outside of a town (i.e.: every MTB spot). They also think every string of noise is an underground tunnel used by child traffickers to take foetuses from Planned Parenthood clinics to distribution centres. The only thing they found that actually makes no sense to me are moderate levels of activity at unauthorised crossings of the Mexico-US border.
