Clipless pedals are clearly and objectively more "comfy/cool" because you never have to worry about a foot slipping off a pedal under any conditions, and if you want to "have fun" with your buddies and sprint against each other just for the hell of it, you can do it properly, never having to fear your foot slipping off some shitty platform pedal, sending your to ER.
