>>1146398Sky has a 0 tolerance policy. If they suspend him, he's gone. He's also 32. It would most likely be the end of his career. It would define his career, and it would define sky. As stands he could well go on to win another Tour, maybe Tour, Gyro double. He can and he deserves it. No one thinks what he's being accused of actually gave him an advantage. It doesn't equate to unfair practice, only a technical rule violation, a small honest mistake at worst. The people baying for his blood are convinced he's actually done a lot worse. No one cares about this specific thing. Their attitude is like the typical police 'he may not be guilty of this, but he's certainly guilty of other things, so we'll get him for this' or even 'so it's ok to frame him for this'.
poor skeletal
he doesn't deserve to go out like this
people talk about how not punishing him is a stain on the sport, actually punishing him, a sporting legend like this, over basically nothing, will be a stain on the sport. Everyone outside cycling will see it as 'Froome dopes has always doped, just like Armstrong, cycling is just as bad as it's always been'.
