Coasters aren't transportation... I don't know what board they'd belong in but they are more recreational rides

I worked at a theme park when I was a teenager. Coaster enthusiasts are spergy like foamers, in fact there's a pretty significant overlap between the two groups.

Only one of the rollercoasters I've been on does a loop. UIVMM your definition would exclude all those coasters with conventional railway type track (as well as many others).

Roller coasters at some point did start off as transportation. They were originally just mine carts used to move coal down a mountain that the mining companies sold rides in.

The Voyage is my favorite by a lot. I tend to like wooden rides more.

Holiday World, Hersheypark, Six Flags Great Adventure

Inversions are the least interesting coaster element, there's a few that stand out Tatsu's pretzel loop or Hydra's jojo roll but most of them suck.
