But if you need more time you can contact the terminal superintendent, they're usually understanding of shit situations like that and will move you to an unpaid board if you need more time. At least they did for me at BNSF. You could always run into some dickhead who won't. In that case you need to ask your union for help. Make sure you work enough afterward to get enough starts or you'll lose your insurance benefits for the next month.
