>>1151115>Watch video at 1:10. It literally shows the down back up action that the 'scoop' refers toWatch it at 0.25 speed. The back end comes up because he's throwing his body weight forward and his feet nearly come off the pedals. Also that's not the same as doing a bunny hop.
>The feet arent the primary thing youre thinking about in a basic bunny hop but its how the rear of the bike is liftedNo it isn't. The rear comes up because you're pulling the front up, the bike is all bolted together so the rear end has no choice but to follow.
>>1151116I never said it was a good hop, although it isn't bad for a 40lb full susser. My technique is fine thanks.
>>1151171You pull backwards initially to get the front wheel started, if you pulled straight upwards you'd end up going too far forwards over the bars. As your body extends upwards you're pulling the bars backwards towards your junk and then upwards like you're on a pogo stick.
I guess the motion path of the bars is more like a C than an upside down J, although it's going to change depending on the type of bike and there's going to be less rearward movement on something like a BMX.
