I made a thread about buying a used fixie for $120 with a brooks, and some said their not for everyone. Some said theyre the most comfy saddle theyve tried. Some say they're great for short rides. They do look great and traditional, thats for sure. Oh and someone said buying a used one would be like buying someones underwear. They kinda comfort to your inder genitalia area and accumulate all that sweat, and leather doesnt really breathe so it gets all mashed in there.
Get a WTB Volt or Speed and enjoy greater comfort and adjustability

They’re heavy as shit but comfortable in my experience. They eat the crotch out of your bibs though. I’ve switched over to Fizik saddles because of that, otherwise I’d have kept a C17 on my rando bike.

Not as racey as it looks... Get a different model if you want your bars below your saddle... A Brooks without the leather... You're paying for the leather meme but getting... What exactly? I literally don't know what these are made out of. Artisanal petroleum products? Low thread count cotton? Shitballs there are no good saddles. Period? used one for a while, I think it wore my trousers more quickly than a normal saddle. While hard it was mostly comfortable on short rides but over an hour destroyed my taint. Then again most saddles without a cutout seem to do that to me. Sold it off.

I've had a Brooks Swift for awhile and never really got into it. After that experience, I thought Brooks just wasn't for me. When the Cambium came out, I gave it a shot on my SS 29er trail bike and I absolutely love it! You really can't compare the Leather Brooks saddles and the Cambium saddles, its a world of difference. For reference, my other go-to saddle is a Charge Spoon because they look great, they are cheap and relatively light.

I thought the point of Brooks saddles was that they molded to your ass shape over the long run. Buying someone elses sounds like it would not be the same, not to mention used saddles and bartape belong in the trash in general.

The exact opposite is true. Leather saddles breathe better than anything else, it is one of their main advantages
