But from experience with other ripoff gadgets main issue is usability and stability. They don't deliver the performance required for their function (e.g. will lock to gps only in clear day under ideal outdoor conditions) and tend to crash / freeze often, requiring battery removal.
Make sure it has some watchdog timer and proper autonomous restart, so it can resume function when it craps itself.
Most devices with this not taken care of just freeze forever, keep rebooting because of date not set or restart to off state (or unarmed/inactive in this case).
They make them to look and function LIKE the thing, but don't design them thoroughly to BE the thing and do it's job.
Read lots of review about every specific device and look for information about clones of clones, that function even worse.
