>>1156723You can do that, depending on how you get the higher end parts though it may cost you close to just buying it with them in the beginning. You have to ask yourself why your buying a carbon frame though. All the Fred hype and BS about carbon and higher end group sets aside what's the advantage of it?
Dont get me wrong I have my carbon road bike with full ultegra 11spd and I love it but I also have a alu bike that I built with the newest sora kit and dispite all the Fred's on here and elsewhere acting like you have to have 105 or higher they feel the same. Your hardly going to notice a difference in the two qualities when on the road.
Unless you're a pro rider which obviously your not and neither are like 99% of the Fred's here, your not going to notice that big a difference other than the amount of gears. Every hill and flat I've done on my high end carbon bike I've done on my alu with sora while still feeling the same.
Personally I would get the alu with 105, it would be all the bike you would ever need. Get the carbon for the bling of carbon. At the end of the day just ride.
