>>1160031>The fact is that 90% of people don't really need a car.Who are you to decide that for everyone else, hmm?
>People who drive a car everywhere when there's no reason to are cagers, not people who have common sense and use the right tool for the jobSo you're saying that people's time is worth nothing? They should spend it like it's water? Some errands that would take, say, an hour at most if you're driving, should take twice as long (or more) just to satisfy your arbitrary sensibilities?
You're also making a broad assumption about something that you likewise have no business making any assumptions about:
>"Bicycles are for transportation only"What about riding as a hobby, or for fun?
Most people don't like riding in the rain, or the snow, or high winds, or freezing cold, or in the dark, or combinations of all the above. They ride because they enjoy it, and being forced, by some arbitrary standard, to do it regardless of conditions, ruins it for them. Are you unironically claiming, with your hipster nose in the air, that your *very much personal choices* should be enforced on every man, woman, and child? Not sure who the hell you think you are, buddy, but that's not the way the world works.
If you want to waste your time riding a bike everywhere, and making yourself miserable (who knows, maybe you're a masochist) that's your business, but neither you nor anyone else gets to dictate to anyone else how they spend their time or how they get themselves and their family anywhere. That goes for anyone else in this thread who is so self-centered that they think they have a moral right to dicatate anything to anyone else.
