>>1159410I've never competed head to head against others on performance enhancing drugs since I've only done time trials but I've trained with performance enhancing drugs (both illicit and non-illicit), cleaned up a week or two before 'game day,' then performed on 'game day' without the drugs to display impressive numbers while still testing clean. This method is very and too common. New analogues and experimental compounds do a surprisingly good job at hiding from tests for known metabolites. Eventually though that shit fucks your mind, body, and spirit up. The biggest benefit to performance enhancing drugs is the ability to turn off fatigue, mentally and physically, and turn the volume up to 11. When you train at an 11/10 intensity, your body progresses quickly, and can help in going beyond the plateau. Your brain does everything it can to stop you from exceeding about 8/10 intensity to prevent you from injuring yourself and I mean serious injuries like organ failure or overheating your brain and shit.
