We lived on the second floor and this was the bike that I rode down a full flight of stairs when I was 2 or 3. It's an early enough memory that part of the reason I still remember it is because it got re-enforced by my mom telling the story over and over again.
Mine was branded differently and the colors were different, but it was this model, i can tell from the shape of the wheels, the bar, and the pattern molded into the seat.

It was a kids size huffy from the 80s or early 90s that was spray painted black my grandma probably got at a yard sale, so no I wouldnt. first real bike I got was a fuji hybrid that I repaired recently and decided I wouldn't want to regularly ride it, makes if I replace the handlebars but still it takes all the worst parts of road and mountain bikes, this is only useful if you live in a big city with a short commute and well maintained roads and want to put your office papers on the rack

It'll be impossible to find an actual photo of a child bike from the early '90s, so imagine a child bike with training wheels, a white and purple and acid green color scheme, and colorful clacky-dee-clack spoke pearls.

and I was trying to find my first bicycle with training wheels but it is not on the internet. it was something cheap-ish my grandparents got from sears or kmart or something. it was called the Gator Racer with a little cartoon alligator on the chainguard but the frame was blue and white.

then I got a pretty cool bike, a vintage Schwinn frame in that candyflake green with white writing and the swoopy tubing. It had more bmx-looking bar, seat, and caliper brakes added. the wheelset didn't have the coaster-brake hub and it had knobby tires. I would absolutely ride the shit out of it if I still had it and it actually fit me still. which it wouldn't; it was a bit too big for me at the time (I racked myself for the very first time on its top tube) but it was like a small adult size and I'm 6'3" now.

I'm pretty sure pic related is close in color (not quite that dark) and tubing style, but it was beat up and modified as above, and I don't think it had a chainguard on it, i would have remembered the name if it had

I was a disgusting cager, then I upgraded to a tiny red trike, then the best beat up black and red used yard sale kids bmx in the world. Unfortunately I don't have pics of it unlike my rage cage but I rode my kids bmx to the ground. Front tire and tube eventually became unusable and I was too stupid to properly repair it so I rode it straight on the wheel rim until the wheel was so beat up, bent, and wobbly that it could not ride me anymore. this is probably the closest I can find to a modern version of my first bike. Difference was it was made in probably the late 80's, had no branding on it, the toptub/handlebar cusions were red, and so were the wheels and handlebars

Don't remember the very first bike (definitely some shiity walmart bike with training wheels) but the first bike I remember was an old GT Vertigo that I regret having gotten rid of. I'd actually enjoy having a BMX for fucking around on.

Jesus Christ, Huffy seem to have regularly produced absolutely outlandish designs. My third bike I think (you grow through bikes very quickly at a preschool age) was a Huffy Metaloid just like this one, only in blue and with a different handlebar and six gears.

Murray had one, too (of course). theirs was a front derailleur 2 speed.
Murray had a factory in Nashville and my mom knew a woman at the local ad agency and I actually read the tv ad's voice-over for this bike. Apparently I bombed horribly and was not hired. I remember the sound-guy/director kept trying to get me to sound more enthusiastic lol

also, this is just a Huffy BSO freestyle bike but I always loved this commercial/music

First one that I really road and loved was a girls pink Stringray that we had painted green.

Would if I could, basically did since I road that well after being too large for it before moving on to a Breeze, and finally a Speedster. (As far as Schwinn goes)

Before I knew about how road bikes felt, nothing felt like it gave me more 'thrust' than this fucker. Something about the shape just really lets you throw it the fuck around. No curb was high enough to thwart me.

Had no idea at the time, when I saw the pictures of my bike again after years I was like why the fuck is my front fork backward? Not like there were people in my life back then who had any knowledge of bikes at the time.
