I used to be one of you guys. A few months ago I still believed I would live a car free life, but awhile ago I decided to push through with getting my license. Holy fuck, am I glad I did it. Driving a car can be incredibly fun and useful, and doesn't have to be expensive. I can travel so much further now. I've visited all kinds of places that I could never reach with my bike, and have seen & experienced so much more.
I just throw a little folding bike in the back of my old 1200 euro twingo and fold the seats for a bed for long camping trips. No more need for hotels either. Costs are about 150 euro's a month all in all, while public transport subscription is even more expensive. Keeping the car in good condition is fun as well
I hope this motivates some of you to just at least get your license, you can do it to, fuck the excuses. it's 100% worth it, even if you don't plan on getting a car. Also this post doesn't apply to Americans where licenses are easy to get, but to my eurobros.
