I would probably go for something like the Dassault 8X or the Bombardier Global.

If I was capable of getting something larger, I would either get the ACJ-318 or the exotic Beriev BE-210E.

Not more weird yokes. The E Jets are weird enough, Embraer doesn't know how to make a cockpit with controls which are logical. Hell, the landing gear indicators on the E Jets are an LCD display, when Airbus (the guys known for making everything a glass cockpit in the 70s) still use dedicated LEDs.

Cirrus Vision Jet on the other hand looks like the kind of aircraft you want to fly yourself. Seemingly it'll be flyable with a PPL, though I'm, guessing due to its size.

Depends on the mission but there's a reason king airs and PC-12s are so ubiquitous. Turbine reliability and speed wrapped up in a relatively affordable (this means that fixed costs alone equal an upper middle class salary) way to get around. Dassault 20 is the only private jet that compares. The high sweep angle of the vstab is boner inducing.. too bad they fagged it up in later designs.. apparently even the early dassault private jets were good at high speeds and more recoverable from jet upset and dives than other jets of the era.

You seem to be under the impression that every airplane has the pricetag of a large airliner. They don't. There are business jets costing less than the price of a decent house in San Francisco. My single-engine prop plane costs as much as a new economy car. It all depends on why you want, and what you're willing to compromise on. Either way, $75 million and can't afford a plane? That's like saying you make $750,000 and can't afford ground transportation.

What do you own? /10ths done with my ppl, I'd rather have a high-performance single pilot retractable gear turbine single like a Pilatus, a Socata, or a Malibu than a nice piston twin.

Although honestly, if I had $75 million lying around I might try and stretch to buy a pic related, just because they're fast, spacious, good on fuel, and a e s t h e t i c as fuck. Used, it's a ton of airplane for about the same price as a claustrophobic VLJ.

Honestly, probably an MU-2 or a small King-Air. One of the guys I went to A&P school with had an MU and flew it in one day, it seemed nice for a single-owner twin turbo. Since it definitely wouldn't be my primary form of transportation, I'd handle upkeep myself; all I'd need to pay for would be fuel, parts, and hangar fees.

If not that, then a Cessna 190 or a Beech Staggerwing because radials are fucking rad.
