There is a laundry list of reasons why it'll never be done.
- extreme expense for engineering on a program for which there is no demand
- next to no desire among airlines for double decker quad engine aircraft (or single deck quad engine aircraft for that matter)
- expensive airport modifications would be required. A380 gates wouldn't not be inherently compatible.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
The 747 has no future except for the freighter and conversion market.
