>>1174849Honestly I dislike the Shimano STI "the brake lever pivots" thing, but I like Shimano derailleurs and hydro brakes way more than SRAM, so I end up sticking to Shimano.
Campy Ergopower is best shifter of all, however.
>>1174835>Who cares if the cranks are 105 or shimano at all?Because the Shimano price/quality ratio is always pretty damn good, and Shimano stuff is popular/universal enough that I know I'll be able to buy replacement chainrings for years to come.
>>1174937Yeah, the options are thin.
>Compass Square taper, fuckin' $455! Add another $30 if you want the pinned 46T ring. Chainrings are proprietary and not cheap.
>IRDSquare taper, as expensive as Ultegra. One version with 94BCD rings, one with 110/74BCD rings. Replacement rings are readily available, but If you want to go this route, why not just buy a nice square-taper Deore XT triple off ebay (they're readily available for cheap) and run it as a double?
>FSAShit with weirdo proprietary chainring attachment methods; good luck finding replacement rings in a few years.
>SuginoThe OX901D is at least a modern hollow-spindle 2-piece crankset, and uses readily-available 5-bolt 110/74BCD chainrings. Good ramped/pinned rings as well. This is the only really legit option.
