The infrastructure is alright. Bike roads outside of the city are all either shared with pedestrians or side strips for slower vehicles. However, barely any pedestrians use the shared strips due to them being very rural, so there is that. There is a horrible place in our city tho, it's a road leading to the industrial area. Only a protected cyclist strip which is tight. This road also happens to be a rather important Axis for truckdrivers transporting stuff from a Dutch city to Poland or Balkans, you don't want to be the slower vehicle driving infront of a Polish truck driver. 20% of the people standing on the accident strip on the Autobahn die because of sleeping and overexhausted truck drivers.
