>>1187555I've got LHT and currently use it as a road bike. Yeah I know, spare the hate... The main reason being - I can run it with nice and smooth Vittoria Voyager Hypers 35mm and it's got comfy geometry. I enjoy it more because of those things alone than I have ever enjoyed my Cinelli Experience (although columbus tubing was fucking based, the comfiest aluminium frame I have ever ridden). I loved it to bits but it was wrecking my back.
Others have expressed some hate towards the LHT but I don't know why. It's boaty as someone else noted but not particularly bad - a tad boatier than your typical old 10 speed.
I chose it mainly because I wanted to do tours/be more comfy/run wider tyres and it was a cheapest option for me - got the frame for cheap and added the rest to it using discounted parts. So far I didn't do any tours but I enjoy taking it for a good spin. I don't feel any slower than on a normal bike, just vastly more comfortable.
I'm sure there are better/lighter/less boaty similar bikes out there but there will be a price tag or other compromises you'll have to make.
All in all, the LHT does pretty much everything you want it to do.
