>faster than going in your carBut with Tri-Rail, I can go slower and save money! That said, I still need to try Brightline out, and I desire to. Maybe /n/ should coordinate a day to ride together, similar to how /k/ has their own ridiculous meetups.
I'll probably ride Brightline the next time I go to some art museums.
I also hope Tri-Rail ends up on both CSX and FEC tracks, like they mentioned they could. That'd be very convenient. For non-Floridians, right now Tri-Rail is on CSX tracks, which are moderately west of the FEC tracks Brightline uses, though both sets of tracks are very far east for most people who live here.
>>1192949>two citiesDon't you mean four? But yeah, only Miami has anything like metrorail and metromover, and the fact that many attractions are far, far away from the Brightline stations in all three counties it currently serves means Brightline doesn't make sense for tourists. You can only get around in Miami, and not Fort Lauderdale or WPB. Most people will hence fly in to MIA, or fly into FLL and take Tri-Rail to Miami if they don't use a rental car, because Tri-Rail has buses between the airport and train station. Interestingly enough, the majority of times I've rode Tri-Rail, I see flight attendants or pilots commuting between those two airports. The cities aren't real cities anyway, they don't have the museums other cities have, though there are a couple decent theatres for ballet and orchestras and such.
Florida fills me with pessimism, despite this good news.
>>1193364>decent by american standards bus systemThe closest bus stop is two miles away from me, which ends up not being walkable in the tropics. It'll work for people in Miami itself, sure. People in Kendall or in the central or west parts of their counties are still fucked. Imagine needing to get to or from Weston.

>>1195240>the bus cometh only once an hour, so riding the bus to get to a station is an unappealing optionThis.
