The rear quick release lever should be tucked up into the triangle of the frame. The front should be tucked up against the back of the fork.
300 dollars for a bike is fine and all. For example, this was a 400 some dollar bike built from mostly new parts.
20 dollar frame, stem, headset, and bars from a junk buy.
10 dollar saddle
10 dollar post
10 dollar chain
10 dollar RD
10 dollar FD
15 dollar DT shifters
60 dollars in brakes.
40 dollars in fenders.
40 dollars in tires.
100 dollars in wheels.
30 dollar crankset w/ bb.
30 dollar pedals.
15 dollar levers, and 5 dollar used cannondale interrupt levers.
Maybe like 13 dollars for the cassette?
