>>1195176I don't even really think those old Italian brands have many collectable frames, they have to be specific ones that have legend status in racing, like Colnago C40.
Those old high end steel racers are super overrated too, I've had a 80s Ciocc and Pinarello and they were meh at best and frightening to be on when descending over 50mph.
I guess those high end boutique frames like Pegoretti will hold value, Ritte is just nicely painted chinese carbon, Vanilla, Sachs, Speedvagen, Bishop, Firefly, Moots...they will maybe hold value or just not become worthless after 10 years like stuff from major brands...
Then again, the pioneer of boutique was Serotta and they are easy to get for not that much money (best frame I ever had was a Serotta I bought for 300 dollars).
