>>1198234CF is simply more use specific. Want something aero? Any tube profile you want, and as much compromise for weight as possible. Want lugs? Same deal. Want something flyweight? Tough? Comfortable? CF layup can be adjusted as needed. The best CF frames can be as little as half the weight of an alu counterpart; whether that matters is up to you. And you want the best quality possible, it ain't going to come cheap.
Alu is all around useful and better value, especially when it comes to estimating structural damage (no need for ultrasound).
In terms of comfort however, the comfort is more subjective than clear cut, even in those marketed for long distance rides. It's got far more to do with tire choice (width,brand,tubs etc.)
