>>1193963Depends on the situation. If you're jist having a relaxed cruise in good weather and not breaking a sweat you should be fine in just about any practical clothing.
If you're riding in bad conditions or are riding fast on a decent bike, you're going to need to start thinking about proper clothing that suits what you're doing.
There are exceptions, I've seen a guy around my area that rides in cargo pants and a backpack to commute on his high end wilier. Another mention is cheap kmart helmet guy that rides with his straps undone and a tracksuit and hoodie to get his stolen and resprayed specialized venge to the shops/drug deals and back.
Wear what you want and get comfy, consider some proper bike shorts though, they make things much more comfy at just about every level of riding.
