>>1193997It was designed around Manhattan and Manhattan is the exception where you can get around your borough very easily. I cannot say if there should be ring lines. I'd need to look at the OD data to see if there are currently enough people performing non-Manhattan interborough trips to justify more subways like that and ask whether that would be worth it over a bus corridor or something.
Right now you have coverage for:
-Any borough to Manhattan (certain areas are underserved though)
-Brooklyn to Bronx (direct via Manhattan on multiple lines, or with one transfer)
-Bronx to Queens (No direct, at least one transfer in Manhattan)
The trouble connection is indeed Queens-Bkn, but again, they are neighboring each other with no water separating them so I'd think a well, interconnected bus system would be sufficient.
