I think the doping scandal is rediculous. Froome is clearly doping (along with everyone else) but it wasn't sabutimol. That was being kept under UCI limits to prevent this sort of thing happening, but biology got in the way and produced an abnormal result from dehydration or some shit. Or maybe an accidental double dose. Who knows.

Anyway the point is that he's doping on something the UCI doesn't check for, and so it's perfectly fine to let him keep cycling since he's not breaking rules, and the sabutimol thing is stupid. That all said, the man is crazy fucking fast.

Did you even watch what happened on that stage? Froome got 2.5 minutes of the 3.5 minutes he got on that stage in downhills when Dumoulin&co were waiting for Reichenbach to descent like a granny and in the flats when they were fighting and trying to get Lopez and Carapaz to do some work. If Tom had just not waited for Reichenbach and went into TT mode Froome would have gotten 1.5 minutes max on that stage.

Not to even mention that Sky were well prepared for that attack and had soigneurs all over the road with food&water for Froome and he had tailwind for most of the attack which helped a ton.

Froome has gone from a boring skybot into genuinely one of the most entertaining GC riders over the last ~3 years.

We wouldn't even know about his case if someone hadn't leaked about it. According to the current rules he is allowed to race. The fact that giving a verdict takes this long is a bit of a joke but that's how it goes in pretty much all sports.

Dumoulin fucked up by not being aggressive on that descent but he didn't have much left anyway, so the time that Froome earned on the climbs would have given him the win.
Froome earned this victory and the salty prissy CyclingTips crowd can fuck right off.

Yates also peaked on the first two weeks when you're supposed to come in a bit under your peak the first week and peak in the last two to prevent his fate. His riding was really impressive until he choked and I'm certain that he'll win a GT at some point. He still has plenty of time as he's so young.

He looked pretty amazing in that mountain stage that he made back the 5 minutes and won the pink jersey.

Literally looked like a man among manlets. Plus he flew down the fucking mountain at like 50mph.

Gravelfags will also be happy to know he praised the ascent which had multiple patches of hardpacked gravel.

It was the best performance I've seen this year. Froome at the Giro and Nibali at the Milan-San Remo were the two best performances of the year.

I don't think Froome was doping with Salbutomol though, and I don't see anything spectacular in terms of power from his Giro win. I think it was a spectacular win that was mostly down to tactics.

Froome only put 1:30 into Dumoulin from out powering him on climbs, which is not amazing at all since Dumoulin is a fat faggot. The other 1:30 Froome made was from having bigger balls than Dumoulin.

The things that make Froome believable to me is that he is a 165 pound rider in a 145 pound frame. No one comes close to Froome in terms of how much needless weight he has shed. If Froome had a similar upper body build to Dumoulin, Nibali, Yates, he'd weigh 160-165.

Froome/Sky would have to be mind blowingly retarded to use Salbutomol as some kind of PED. It doesn't increase performance, its used by body builders to shed weight, but you have to take way more than what Froome tested at in order to do that. The explanation that he had kidney failure makes a lot of sense to me. People hear "kidney failure" and they think its this incredibly rare, deadly thing, when its actually pretty common amongst people exerting themselves whilst getting progressively more dehydrated IE a stage in a scorching Vuelta. People wind up in the ER all the time with kidney failure from going out hiking and not hydrating properly. They get an IV and are fine in a couple hours.
