>>1198783>I also played Transport Fever. It's a nice game but I dislike the disability to create towns by yourself, like little villages in between the bigger towns. At the start there's really not a reason to build anything between the cities except for cargo.Yeah, I ended up building what I could only describe as a cargo network of two circle lines, because the train pathfinding is god awful and never really works properly, because trains end up blocking each other at signals because neither trains understands right of way, so they just sit there in what I can only describe as: >"After you"
>"No, after you">"I insist, after you">"Oh no, after you"This ad infinitum, so you end up having to dismantle your train lines because your drivers are mentally challenged.
I ended up building a massive tram network though which covered 3 cities and connected them with each other. Problem was, it took 3 in game years for a tram to get from one city to another, which is my biggest issue with this game, the way time elapses.
I did find something out though, I love the idea of an unelectrified tram, at least before you get electrification. Steam trams managed to be pretty sweet. That is, until the steam tram becomes obsolete on its way to the next town, requiring you to completely electrify the lines and replace all the steam trams with new electric ones.
Bus lines were also a big problem for me, since I ended up with several bus lines still being carried out by fucking horse and stagecoach even though people were starting to buy cars, because it took 5 years for a stagecoach to go from one town to another.
