I bought this bike off a black guy, now I'm gonna ride it across the desert. I call it "the Soviet Peasant Ching Chong Truck". This will be my blog.

Day 1. It's fucking hot and I have to ride this heavy ass jerry rigged bike up a fucking mountain.

Yes sry, gear is shit bike, 15 dollar seat post rack that was completely useless until I zip tiid it to the fender, which will probably end up killing me, ortleib panniers cus I got a good deal and I knew they would fit on my rigged ass bike, also zip tied tho cus theybfucking suck, the rest is standard light camping gear, way too much food (lentils, quinao, jerky and nuts are the staples) a stove, water filter, 12 total water bags, plus water bottles, probably the most interesting gear is my Sony mdx1000 Bluetooth headphones so I can get da bass to pump up hills

Worn clothing is short shorts, t shirt, cap and du rag that I got off the black guy

The heat, weight,jerry rigging shityness, and soiboi legs were getting to me, thank god for this spring fed pond i ran into at just the right time

Will probably ride on early AM, evening and night

I just got some money by selling Kush so I'm going to fix my retarded mistake of carrying so much food by shipping the food to a town ahead of me, I seriously packed way too much

Anyway I swam in that pond (and the cliff was way bigger in person like 70ft) and the fish were weird, they watched me from the shore then when I got in, they keep following me curiously. There were some small sunfish and some cool looking bass like thing with a white tripe on each side. Some guys I met told me its haunted by Montezuma's (some Indian) ghost an a guy went down there in a scuba suit, and came up dead with the air nozzle turned off. Like turned a lot apparently.

I also think I had a realization about the difference between owl noises and hawk noises, hawks are awake in daylight so they make a screeching noise because there's more noise, including visual noise. Google maps gave me shit directions, it told me to take this shortcut to town that ended up being a Peruvian-fall to your-death tier trail up a mega steep cliff made out of the most crumbly shit sandstone.
