I'm not sure if GCN has gotten worse or if it just seems that way after going through the best of their back catalog.

The obvious sponsors have been an issue for a while (I missed Matt's venge because it was his bike), but I find Emma infuriating! Why bring on someone who vocally hates taking part in the very sport she competed in and is now reporting on?! She even spoke about how much she hates training when interviewing Marianne Vos! It started really pissing me off after they introduced Katherine, the difference between the two is astounding.
As for the two new guys, I just get the overwhelming sense of "the lights are on but nobody's home". Very bland personality wise.

GCN content is really up and down. I loved the videos from Morocco and the Giro content was very good. I expect recently they've been busy beavering up some stuff to play during the Tour.

Don't think much of the new hosts but they deserve a chance.

Emma is great fuck all the haters. Presumably they're all spams who think women on TV all need big glistening teeth, Botox grins and DDD tits.

Supporting professional quality editing, video/audio recording and the presenters isn't cheap. No one likes sponsorship but the dollars have to come from somewhere and patreon etc isn't going to fit the bill. Regular income from e.g. wiggle goes a long way to making the show sustainable.

Hopefully they get their act together for Le Tour as they'll expect that to drive new traffic to the network.

GCN missed out on huge potential because they went teh route of easy upfront money from sponsors. If they had done something more like a cycling version of top gear with adventures and challenges they would be legends by now.

I'll agree that GCN is hit or miss, fortunately it's quite easy to skip past the boring/advertising segments in the shows.

Matt and The Brick were the two best. GCN seems to be just going over a lot of the same stuff they have before, but with more boring people. I'll admit the Morocco and Kansas videos were pretty cool though, and their old how to videos are really good when a newbie asks me how to do something

The bikepacking one in Morrocco, the DK200 one (that lady is a far better presenter than any of the new people) and a few others have been great, but they post endless shit on facebook now same thing two or three times a week.

I suppose they're getting huge, and you gotta meet marketing goals in order to keep making good stuff.

Si is still a top lad, but I do miss Matt.

Their how to change a tyre tells you the best way to do it though compared to the most popular youtube videos (usually for anything technical it is GCN and ParkTool).

Their video shows you the correct way to change a tire using your hands instead of the 2 tire lever method.
