The amount of time wasted trying to improve it is pretty paradoxical when simple investments in buses and such will go a lot further. For the banning rights, yeah traffic may get worse for regular drivers, but if it gets bad enough then they will find new routes, avoid the area, or even no longer take the trip. It's possible the impact will be minimal even as the trips dissipate because the previous drivers cbf to do it anymore, a win-win!
