Am i the only one that thinks forks with any kind of curve are unaesthetic as fuck? They make any bike look ugly

I'm sure you aren't alone, but I for one like them more. To me, a straight fork looks too "stiff" and a bit box store-ish while a slight curve just makes sense to me.

When I got my first threadless bike I thought it was the ugliest thing in the world.

Quills and curved forks are naturally better looking. I don't care what anyone says. I felt that way before cycling and I feel that way now.

Do I ride a quill-stem bike now? No. But the skinny tubes and curved forks are great looking. fuck. The only thing wrong with the bike you posted is all the new ass shit. Whoever put a black seatpost on that bike needs to be shot

With very classic looking bikes like the one on OP's pic I can tolerate curved forks, but on anything more modern with thicker tubing it's disgusting.

Japs were into rando bikes before Jan Heine. Jan Heine likes to pretend he reinvented the rando bike, but the Rene Herse obsession has been in alive in Japan since Rene Herse was actually alive. A lot of the retrogrouch stuff Rivbikes likes like Nitto shit is partially because of Jap love for French bikes, and Jan Heine used to sell Grand Bois (Japanese company, made by Panaracer) tires before he decided to make his own Compass brand through Panaracer. Shimano based their early designs off of Simplex, not Campagnolo as well.

Why not. Campa has some NJS stamped track parts also, clashes a lot less somehow than Shimano on an italian bike. Except guess it's okay since Team Sky has the Pinarellos with Dura-Ace.

I find straight forks ugly as hell because it's not in line with the head tube. Curved forks usually start out in line with it, so it looks much better.
