I have a 90s mountain back and when I ride like 8km+ it really starts to hur my back, these more straight bak riding bikes, as I remember once, are quite comfortable, so why is this bike that bad?they aren't bad at all, people just get mad that little old ladies like riding those things slowly around the park and are in the way and trying to waive at you while you are trying to KOM yer strava.
My mom has a triple front chainring alum comfort bike and she loves it.
The comfort bike front shocks are unnecessary and just add to the weight.
Another reason why people get so pissed off about it is that you can just literally take your 90s mtb and buy a pair of $30 aluminum handlebars and swap out your flat bar for a comfort bar in maybe 10 minutes, most of the time not even needing to change the cable length.
