Huh, small world. Madison here. We have very little in the way of pedestrian and bike infrastructure. Kids get around on their bikes, but everything is so spread out that there's no way to really do it practically in summer's heat and humidity, if you have a job for which you need to be dressed and groomed well; which means not sweaty. No buses either. So cars are the only viable option for working adults. Shit sucks.
